The Waterloo Ontario Knights of Columbus #5135 is part of the
Knights of Columbus founded by Father Michael J. McGivney, curate
of St. Mary's parish in New Haven, Conn. The Knights were
chartered in 1882 in the State of Connecticut. More information

The Waterloo Knights of Columbus was founded in 1961. We are
the only council in the City of Waterloo. The council patron is
Father Theobald Spetz.

Father Spetz was one of the first settlers in this area of
Waterloo County. He served as an educator for 32 years, was the
founder of Waterloo's first parish, second president of St. Jerome's
college, and was an official of the Children's Aid Society during his
72 years of life.

The council has a very active Retired Members Club which meets on
the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 1:30pm. For information
about this club will be coming soon.
The council also has an active Squires organization. Squires is
the official youth organization of the Knights of Columbus. More
